Lately my clothes have been getting more snug and I really don't want to have to go out and buy bigger stuff. So today I decided to try out the P90X that we've had laying around the house since July 2009 and neither one of us has yet to really attempt.

I started out with the DVD that tells you "This is hard...blah, eat right, blah blah blah, take supplements" and they had 2 bonus workouts on there. I figured the bonus workouts can't be that bad.

HOLY CRAP!! The WARM UP made my thighs feel like jello! This starts off with a timer at the bottom right corner of your screen that tells you how much time you have left till the workout is over 58 mins and some odd seconds. I only made it to 39 mins before I almost was falling over myself because my muscles had turned to mush. So in actuality I did 19 minutes of a workout (but it was only the warm ups!) and couldn't possibly do any more. Regardless of the fact that I didn't do much, I do feel good about how hard I worked for those 19 whole minutes, lol.

I'm thinking Zumba might be more up my alley, lol. But I seem to be a glutton for punishment, and I can't find any time to get up to the workout room to watch TV and get on the elliptical machine for an hour with DH's schedule and me having to be with DD every waking moment.

Anyone else ever try P90X? Or Zumba? What do you think about it?

Not tried either hon. I've never heard of P90X but it sounds HARD. Zumba might be more do-able! Maybe a few of us should invest in a Zumba DVD and get a little home Zumba club going!

Zumba works good with 2 year olds! It's dance time! *shakes it*

Seriously, I've known girls who couldn't fit exercise into their schedule, but they find a video with good tunes and their kids are all over it!

I have a few files from Zumba. I can't do them. LOL. I feel silly and there's too much of me, it all gets in the way.

But I like the music.

I would LOVE to do Zumba! The only reason why I did the P90X was because we actually have the whole set, but I actually bought the thing for DH for his bday a few years ago. I've been seriously thinking about buying the Zumba set to work out to. I just wasn't sure it was something I wanted to spend that much money on yet. I'm definitely leaning that way though, especially since the warm up from yesterday is STILL killing my thighs!!

@Tithen- I would love to get something with some good music, but I never seem to know until I get it home, lol. I did watch one Zumba video on YouTube with Kaylee and she danced to it. It cracked me up SO bad! She was really trying to shake her little tushie to the beat! So cute!
