Work out while Sick??

ok so after feeling like a real bag after the holidays I finally started eating on plan the last couple days and finally got myself back to the gym yesterday. I had a headache yesterday and felt achy but didn't think much of it until after I went to the gym.
Dry nostrils, achy, major sinus pressure under and above my eyes. Went to bed at 8pm - woke up at midnight apparently just drenched (my husband had to dry me off with a towel he said it felt like i just stepped out of the shower) and decided not to go to work today. I'm a nanny and I dont' wanna spread it to the family and have it become a cylcle back and forth.

Anyways - now I'm sick and thinking it's better to not work out and just let my body rest.

What do you do???

it depends on how i feel...if its just a cold...i still work out..but if it I have a fever..then i rest bc i dont want to get any more dehydrated!

so if yur really feeling crummy then just rest! it wont do any good to work out when your sick...

I'm no help at all b/c in my adult life I've never really been into exercising regularly, so I would say any chance I had to skip ... I would. But in all honesty, if you feel like you can handle it, go for it... if you don't, don't push yourself or it'll only take longer for your body to heal, kwim?

i find i just make myself more sick if i work out when i'm sick........so i take a rest! and try to drink a lot of water.......

When I have a cold, I usually don't work out for a few days because I just don't feel well and because I don't want to spread my germs at the gym. But after I couple of days, when I'm starting to feel better, I do work out and it actually usually makes me feel better. But I make sure I wipe everything I touch!
