I feel like an ex-smoker who now wants everyone to stop smoking! But I did just quit drinking soda and I've been reading about its effect on weight gain. A regular can of soda has A LOT of sugar. I was googling about it and I found this little article:

I have no idea how reliable it is but still, this part at the end is scary: "Researchers estimate drinking a 12-ounce sugar sweetened drink every day is equivalent to about one pound of weight gain every three to four weeks." That's over 12 pounds a year!!!

Even if you're only drinking diet sodas, like I was, there are some researches that link them to obesity as well.
