So I was just snacking on cookie dough, so I figured it was time to start this, if I have to write down all the junk I eat, I'll be less likely to eat like a pig, lol.

1/14/08

8AM- coffee, caffeinated

1:00pm-Vitamin water, banana

2:30pm- coffee, decaffeinated....all they had, I normally drink caffeinated

4pm- dry cereal in a small baggie, 2 handfuls ?

5:30-6:30pm- exercise, walking 1 mile, all the machines, ab work, drinking water

7:00pm- baby carrots, fat free dressing, 4 mozzarella sticks with buffalo sauce, 2 cups of v8 splash

9:00pm- cookie dough, at least 5 spoonfuls

9:30pm- V8 splash

That's awesome with the exercise but do you normally eat so little! You didn't get much food in today!

I always feel like I eat a lot, but I guess I really do eat like a bird. Normally I eat 2-4 times a day. I usually have coffee for breakfast, cereal or something small for lunch, a sandwich or something bigger at 3-4pm, and then veggies or something similar for dinner, and a little bit of whatever I cook for DD. I've been eating this way for years. I drink a lot more than I eat, as I have so many tooth problems that eating is painful at times, so I tend to drink since I don't have to chew. I know that sounds so bad, and I have already had $2200 worth of dental work, but it seems my teeth still hurt me, very sensitive maybe?

I think logging your food into something like calorie-count.com might be a good idea if you "eat like a bird" so that you have an idea of how much you're actually getting. Coffee is zero calories as are the majority of veggies. Cereals like cheerios and stuff are around 120 cal per cup...ish, so not super high in calories. The few pounds you've put on may be a result of your metabolism dropping with age and from being 'starved' (not really, but you know if you are exercising so much AND eating little, it could be the culprit) -- what if you made a smoothie to 'drink' more of your calories, get in some fruits & veggies... and you could make it with something other than ice (like yogurt?) so it won't effect you sensitive teeth. Just a though.

Again though, KILLER on the exercise! and that v8 splash stuff is yummy!

I think I may do smoothies again to add calories, I did this years ago actually and lost a lot of weight. As I said, I tend not to eat as much as I drink because of my teeth, and there's a lot of foods that are completely off limits because it hurts my teeth. I usually heat of things like baby carrots and cucumbers before I eat them, otherwise eating is torture.

Anyhow, I need to keep up with this more. Here's my food log for today.

Am- coffee
Lunch- Coffee, a nature valley bar, and a piece of whole wheat bread with cheese, and juice
Snack- Juice, 2 cups, and a small bowl of dry cereal
Dinner- Peanut butter sandwich, and baby carrots with fat free dressing, and more juice.

Night work-out. Didn't make it to the gym, too tired, and my back is hurting for some reason. Did some sit ups, crunches, push ups, and leg exercises after dinner. But again, not feeling too good so I didn't want to push it.

Today wasn't so great, bleh. I need to lay off the coffee. Tomorrow should be better as it's thursday, and I get to go to the gym.

am- coffee, small portion of dry cereal
lunch- energy bar, not sure which brand, more coffee, and then a bottle of water
snack- animal crackers, coffee (and I was still completely exhausted!)
dinner- small portion of quiche, baby carrots (plain, no dressing), and 2 cups of juice. And for some reason I am really naseous at night, so I don't have much of an appetite, but I ate anyway. I think it might be the coffee making me nauseous.
