We made this for dinner last night and it was super easy to make and pretty good. Just figured I'd share. It's from my weight watchers cookbook : 5 ingredients & 15 minutes.

* 1 pound ground round
* 1 (15 ounce) can chunky Italian-style tomato sauce
* Cooking spray
* 1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated pizza crust dough
* 1½ cups (6 ounces) preshredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 425°.

Cook meat in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until browned, stirring until it crumbles. Drain, if necessary, and return to skillet. Add tomato sauce, and cook until heated.

While meat cooks, coat a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Unroll pizza crust dough, and press into bottom and halfway up sides of the baking dish. Top the pizza crust with meat mixture.

Bake, uncovered, at 425° for 12 minutes. Top with cheese, and bake 5 minutes or until crust is browned and cheese melts. Cool 5 minutes before serving.

Yield: 6 servings. Each serving is 6 Weight Watcher's points.

The next time I think I'll spruce it up with some mushrooms and onions, although it was good just the way it was and the 1 serving was enough to fill me up and I didn't eat more.

I'm trying to find the photo of it from in the recipe b/c that's what made it look SOOO good... but I can't find it. I'll take a photo of it with my phone, lol.

If any of you make it, let me know how it turns out. We really enjoyed it!

that looks good, i wonder if u can find whole wheat refrigerated dough, that would be even better. maybe do half ground beef and half ground turkey too - i just made chili that way and u can't even tell that half of it is ground turkey.
i totally think it would be wicked with some onions and mushrooms too, good call. maybe even chop up some zucchini into small pieices and sautee with onion and mushroom for a bit just to add a lil colour! or some sweet red or orange pepper chopped up....so many possiblities!

i will keep an eye out for that dough next time i'm at the grocery store.

i'm also intrigued by this weight watchers cookbook, i love simple recipes....i will keep an eye out for that too.

We can't have them in most hotels.....they don't allow (hot plates) cooking in the room. And you get kicked out if they find it....learned that one the hard way LOL

ok i'm making this one tongight, i have 2/3 of a lb of ground beef left from the baked beef ziti i made the other day, and it needs to get used up. I will for sure add in all the veggies you suggested too cause I loves me 0 pt veggies!

speaking of 0 pt veggies, the last two nights i sauteed red peppers & baby portobella mushrooms slices in a light spray of olive oil and some balsamic vinegar w salt and pepper and it was really good and filling.

oh I should make this for DF! he's been talking about how he misses pizza now that we've started our better eating routine... I told him one piece isn't going to kill him. so this is great! I can make this and it will take care of the need for pizza he feels!

yeah its awesome, have one piece with a good sized side of veggies or load the pizza with veggies, i loaded mine up and it was almost overflowing. i think that i used the wrong tomatoes so i had to baste off some liquid during the cooking, or it could have been cause i added mushrooms which release a lot of water when cooked. but other than that it was amaaaaaaaaazing!
