Ok,
I am not focusing on calorie counting or how many reps I did...
so here goes:
Did I follow the 4 golden rules of eating to get thin?
1. Did I eat when I was hungry
a. Not get ravenous
b. Not get stuffed
(see below)
2. Did I eat what I wanted and not what I thought I should?
Yes, and it seems proposterous cause I did eat quite a bit of junk food today, but on the whole I did not eat
as much food as usual. I did get to the point, where sweets were making me sick, and felt like I needed to
back off from them--this is the purpose of eating what you want--to kill the desire for the forbidden things.
3. Did I eat conciously enjoying every bite
I would say yes and no, during dinner I made every effort, and it did work...I was full after one plate.
but, the icecream, I more or less just wanted to eat, cause I knew it would get rid of my headache and I was
focusing on the headache and not the food.
The twizzlers--and extra icecream--I didn't have a clue I was eating til I felt sick--honestly
4. Did I stop eating when I felt full?
Obviously the only place I succeeded in this was during dinner, and I am so pathetically full right now...I
wish I never ate in the first place.
THOUGHTS ON TODAY:
hmmmm...ok, I did make a mistake while I was in the middle of shopping, and I got ravenous...
then I found a few pieces of candy--thank goodness blood sugar was getting low...and we had more
shopping to do...next we went grocery shopping...I violated one rule here..but will get to that later
After 4 hours of shopping, I cooked a sensible meal, and followed the rules about putting fork down
and eating consciously. I was too full for dessert, but knew I would want it...later..Then I had to go
rent movies...but before that I made a big boo-boo.
I purposely on accident poured off brand drano down the dishwasher, I just had to because the stupid
thing wouldn't drain right...so then I made the mistake of trying to rinse it out with HOT water and
nearly filled the kitchen up with poisonous fumes...ok, so turn the hot water to the dishwasher off and
rinse it out with cold water right?
Well, needless to say, I got some of the cursed drano on my skin on my foot--and IT BURNED...so I
ran to the tub and flushed it with cold water--my boyfriend was shaking his head at me..
yeah, so then I had to figure out what part of the cycle was rinse only so I wouldn't be bathing the
dishes that were still in the dishwasher with drano....fun, fun, fun..
When all that was cleared up, I ran and rented movies, but was supposed to get beer for a friend...so
I got me some boone's...drank two glasses--very full at this point..
I was full from dinner...and felt satisfied...but then I got a headache from sitting in a smoke filled
room..and my sinuses went haywire...and the headache was so bad, I wanted to throw up...
so I ate icecream to help with the headache...and I ended up eating too much..and so my tummy was
bloated...and then I was mad at myself, so I grabbed a few twizzlers...then I felt like all that sugar
needed to be diluted with water--so I drank two glasses of water.
Am I bloated???? YES!!! Am I miserable yes! Do I have a headache anymore? No.
Sooooo, I emotionally ate a few times, but on the whole I did not eat that much today. I am very bloated and full right now, and I don't like the feeling...
I will do better tomorrow
Activity: Well, I did 2 loads of laundry, and a sinkful of dishes, 4 hours of shopping, 45 minutes of some kind of workout involving filling the container up with water and bending down to throw it in the dishwasher to get the drano out of there--really worked my hips and obliques...they were hurting by the time I was done..20 min of running outside to chase down James. 30 minutes of putting groceries up.
so even though, I did not complete any exercise routine-- I definitely got exercise...so go me!

Ok....first I have to tell you I LMAO while reading the drano thing.....i have also done that. LOL
Welcome to charting!!!!!
Lets see here. Question how does eating ice cream help a headache? Is there a reason that Tylenol doesn't work for you?(it will not make you feel bloated!) I get headaches with smoke also have you ever tried a netty pot! It works wonders for allergies and sinus issues (its odd at first, but what ever).
Ok suggestions---next time try drinking a big glass of water then eat! Hopefully you will fill up a little quicker and not get bloated. It takes your body 20min to tell your brain your full, and I don't know about you but man can i eat a lot in 20 min! LOL. You can start it thinking faster by drinking water before your meal (or a broth soup first works well!). I like to drink a glass of water then wait 20min then eat....makes a huge difference in the amount I ate. I have this weird thing where i eat one thing, finish it and move to the next thing....i can't "cross" foods (i know its funny LOL). Anyway I always try to drink water between each thing.
Way to go on not eating as much as you normally do (since you didn't right down what you were eating I am just hoping your get healthy in also with your junk food). Again since I don't know what exactly your eating I don't know if you need it or not, but do you take a multi-vitamin? If not and you think your diet doesn't contain enough vitamins, you may want to start that. Taking a vitamin for me makes my body not crave things as hard (well until AF comes then my body is crazy LOL)
And good job on your activity level for the day!

ok, well I had my normal coffee, with wheat toast w/ cream cheese and jelly that was breakfast
while out shopping I had the blood sugar drop-- that's when I ate 3 small hard candies
and going shopping at the grocer I ate 4 twizzlers
when I got home I snacked on baby corn and black olives while I was cooking dinner
we had salisbury steak, maccaroni and cheese and steamed green beans--I ate 1 pc steak, 1 1/2 cups maccaroni cheese, and 1 cup of steamed green beans
then I ate the icecream for my headache 2 hours later --about 360 calories, and punished myself with 2 twizzlers and 2 cups of water.
yes, tylenol, I can take--but it normally does not work as fast as icecream--my mother treated her migraines with icecream too. I don't get icecream headaches--instead icecream makes my headaches go away...
plus-- I have to have my icecream--take everything else away--but that stays..
ok, got to go help my man clean up--a sick cat's mess
ttyl
and I think I was also mad because the guys were smoking around everybody and that's why I got the headache--so I overate the icecream due to emotions...

Do you tend to get blood sugar drops alot in the mid morning? If so try adding a little protein in your breakfast....peanut butter instead of the jelly maybe or an egg (one egg is 10% your daily protein). If you answer yes....have you ever been tested for diabetes?
Ok so thats the type of headaches you get (probably from dilated blood vessels-the cold would help them constrict and probably make you feel better). Not trying to take your ice cream away (man that is one thing i can't do with out LOL) Try a cold compress on your neck or even straight on your head, or ice cubes on your temples or ear lobes (again sounds funny...but it works well).
So then the twizlers would have been your lunch? I did strawberry gushers as a "meal" today.

ROFL...yes hahhahahah...
isn't that terrible...how we do that...but if that's what I want to eat--that's what I'm going to eat...better than to try to eat the health food and then throw the junk food on top of it--just adds calories..
yes, my blood sugar drop does come mid morning alot...I know it's aggravated by the coffee, but I love my morning coffee and only have 2 cups...
well today I had coffee with 2 blueberry waffles sans butter or syrup..yes I like them that way..
then I had some baby corn for snack
some juice, but not much
for lunch had some shredded cheese and sliced turkey on whole wheat with no condiments
nutty buddy bar ice cream bar--yum!
3 sections of an orange
for dinner, I plan on making Kielbasa w/ onions and potatoes sauteed with garlic and olive oil.
I had 3 cups of water today
Ok for activity, I admit it wasn't so much...I did my kitchen chores putting dishes up and sweeping with roller skates on---NOW THAT WAS FUN...and I was sweating so I figure it worked for exercise...
still didn't get to go out with my son, and then I had to ground him for not listening...
Ok--here's a little bit of humor from my funny little man
"Mom? Why do people still eat toast if they are lac-toast intolerant"

ok dinner was
potatoes w/ kielbasa and onions sauteed ( 1 1/2 cup of this) in olive oil w/ a little melted cheese on top..and a tossed salad (1 cup). I finished off the steamed green beans from last night too (1/2 cup)
I helped my friend clean the house, put up laundry, swept and mopped and applied mop and glo
I tried to tuck in my tummy and release like mini crunches while doing it...and I squeeze my leg muscles as well too.
I had a small piece of pizza too...2 hours after dinner
and then a small ice cream crunch bar 1 hr later
SUMMARY:
1.Did I eat when I was hungry? Not get ravenous and not get stuffed?
Yes, I did very well, and I never felt icky today
My hunger got a little high before I ate the turkey sandwhich
2.Did I eat what I wanted and not what I thought I should?
Absolutely and again, I feel so satisfied--no deprivation here, and I ate reasonably I do not feel like I ate too much.
3. Did I eat consciously and enjoy?
Yes, Yes, Yes
4. Did I stop when I thought I was full
Yes, I did and listened to my internal cues--and I feel so good about it.
I have also drank 6 glasses of water throughout the day so far
My activity:
light roller skating--while cleaning the kitchen--you would not believe how much you have to use your core muscles to keep your balance while doing this--as well as the skates double as ankle weights when you walk on carpet...
More cleaning: swept and mopped the floor and then applied mop and glo--doing mini tummy crunches--performed mini squats while putting up the clothes.

Oh,
Angela, I am exactly opposite in eating food.
I love tasty combinations and when I eat for example my kielbasa, potatoes and onions--I like to eat them together and enjoy the flavor from each mixed. If I run out of one of the things I have combined--I feel like I can't eat the rest, if I don't get a few more pieces of the other!
my son is the "don't let my foods touch" one. It drives me nuts, but I work with him on it.

I used to be a no food touch kid also....in college i stopped that
Way to go on getting all your goals in
And rollerskates around the house! now that I have your picture i can picture it in my mind LOL. I also like to do butt clenches while typing emails (or replies!) its a good butt thing LOL. oh yeah, I can see me doing that...the problem is that I am tooth fanatic...I get really detailed in brushing, flossing, and using the scraper and rinsing--I have far from perfect teeth, but I get too involved in that to do exercise...
hey, I love the butt clenching..I have found myself laying on the bed doing it...and also doing mini tummy tucks. where you tighten your muscles and release them
yeah, the roller skating was fun --and it really does make you use those core muscles...I get too bored and aggravated with the video thing. I think I just don't like being told what to do!! lol.
and the cheesy way they're smiling through the video too...uggh.
hmm..might me a little of my menstruating syndrome--I'm kind of crabby
Oh yeah, I lose like 2-3 lbs right after my period--so my weigh in on the 1st might not tell me much?
thanks for the compliment on my ankles-lol.. I know I have great looking calves and ankles...
as a matter of fact I look like a skinny person if I hide my middle blob well...all you see is skinny arms and ankles!
my SO is always commenting on how great my butt and boobs are--he never pokes fun at my weight...

I love having bigger boobs! If i feel like i am putting on the weight I just distract with the boobs LOL
Oh and the weight in on the 1st....most of us lately have actually been gaining, only a couple lost weight. If you stay the same or lose weight great, if you add weight you have to add one thing you like about your body to your post (we try to stay optimistic....or at least sound like we are LOL)

Ok, here are my goals:
Short term: increase activity to at least 30 min of intentional aerobic exercise-not shopping-not chores-but exercise
including at least 30 min of strength training--for a total of 60 min/ week exercise
follow my plan in the prevention book for 10 minute workouts
I'm wanting to lose weight so I will use the plan/week
* 5 energy boosters (consists of moderate exercise (ex. walking) for 3 min, on the 4th min pick up the pace, 4th-7th, 7th-8th minute should be brisk but not breathless, 9th-10th min moderate again.
*6 calorie burners (consists of 1 min warm up, 3 min moderate pace (talk in short sentences), 1 min almost breathless, 1 min moderate again, 1 min almost breathless, 1 min moderate, 1 min almost breathless, 1 min moderate-cool down.
*4 Toning Walks (it says to hit the stairs--I need to find some stairs--but imagine I can do 1-2 steps as well-
(consists of 1 min moderate pace, 2 min hit the stairs (subst. lunges?), 1 min moderate, 1 min hit the stairs, 1 min moderate, 1 min hit the stairs, 1 min moderate, 1 min moderate cool down, and done
then the toners
2 butt and thigh firmers
2 Arm sculptors
2 belly flatteners
Of course since I am going to try to increase from 0 intentional exercise to 60 min/ week--I will start off less than this
so I will do all of the toning exercises =30 min strength training
and 1 session of calorie burner
1 session of toning walk
1 session of Energy booster=30 min intentional areobic exercise.
lol-roller girl! yes, he might like that too much and want me to wear lingerie while i'm doing it...
yes, ok, we will do that--
sooooooooooo-know about distracting with the big boobs! lol.
and yes, i do have old skates, the kind that lace up to the shin, and are black, I can't find the right size shoelaces for them though...but I am about to put them on and go outside with my son...
thanks for the encouragement!

Omg!!! I had to reread that post!!! ROFL LMAO...better not even let him get wind of that idea!!! But oh yeah, that would definitely be cardio and strength training...
Ok check in for today:
I roller skated with my son and his friends for about 30 min, but then went in the house to clean with them on, I rolled around the kitchen, and even vacuumed with them on...they do make great ankle weights--good thing we don't have nice tile on our floors.
then I did my arm exercises
I did curl ups, standing row, side-plank push ups, and T-stands with kickbacks I also did 2 minutes of the cardioburst-mountain climbers.
for breakfast I had 2 waffles, without butter or syrup, 2 cups of coffee with 2 spoons of sugar each and whole milk for creamer
2 glasses of 50 cal juice I sugared myself.
for lunch--I got slightly ravenous
I had 1 small pc of pizza and 1 small bread stick--yay me! I usually have to have at least 3 slices of pizza!!!
then I had a nutty buddy ice cream bar-yum
I did not eat til stuffed--I did drink 2 cups of water afterwards , and felt a tinsy sloshy
several pieces of 5 calorie gum-- i don't count gum.
My hunger is now about a 5, and think I will have some pineapple slices with cottage cheese for a post-workout snack.
post workout snack-1/2 cup cottage cheese, and 1/2 cup crushed pineapple + 6 vanilla cream bite size wheat squares.
Dinner: 1 cup of potatoes, kielbas, onions topped with cheese, and 1 cup of sauteed okra, onions, garlic, mushrooms., 1/8th can of Citrizip.
Dessert--1 small chocolate crunch ice cream bar with 2 maraschino cherries with 1/8 cup whole milk.
late night snack, 4 twizzlers with 3/4 cup milk with 1 squirt each of cherry syrup and chocolate syrup.
I did alot of activity today, and am tired..noticed I was more hungry
I might have been trying to emotional eat when I had the milk, but I did not binge on it...like I have in the past.
SUMMARY:
1.Did I eat when I was hungry? Not get ravenous and not get stuffed?
Yes, I did very well.
My hunger got a little high before i ate the post workout snack
2.Did I eat what I wanted and not what I thought I should?
um, icecream? yeah...
3. Did I eat consciously and enjoy?
succeeded here.
4. Did I stop when I thought I was full
I may have overdone it with the glass of milk with twizzlers, but still not stuffed silly, and no binging! So for the most part, good!
I was alot hungrier than normal, but I did alot of activity, I also added a Mega-green Tea pill with hoodia 2x daily--think that's why I had energy--it also helped me with menstrual cramps.
I drank like 6 cups of water today.

Ok water during or pre-meals would help with the sloshy feeling. And if your taking the hoodia pills YOU HAVE to TAKE a multivitamin! Also have you ever tried the Viactin Chocolate or caramel flavored Calcium chewables!!!! They are so good I have to make sure I only eat the daily amount!! I love the caramel ones the best!
Your had another great day keep it up!!!
I will be off the internet for the weekend and will be back on monday...so don't be shocked if i don't post for a couple days.

Angela, I can't drink much of anything during meals...I know most people look at me like "how do you not choke???"
If I drink water before the meal, I will be very uncomfortable during the meal. I think it's because my enzymes are a little sluggish, and the water dilutes them even more.
yes, I take a multivitamin, either mine, or my son's--his is less dense, but tastes better! I admit I am the WORSE pill taker though. I forget and will mix match--one day I will take it when I first wake up, the next in the afternoon, and the next before bed.
one day I will take the multivitamin, and the calcium, and magnesium, the next I will take none, the next I will take the green tea, and multivitamin..I have a cabinet full of supplements--just like my momma did. People get scared when they look at it. I'm just like don't worry I don't take all of that all the time.
Magnesium-when I know I have had too much calcium: ratio should be 3:1.--usually if something starts twitching, I know I need magnesium
Coconut oil, when I feel the need to eat whole coconuts--medium chain fatty acids--and for skin.
Echinacea-during sick months
Vitex--I need to take this more regularly--
Calcium-not getting enough in my diet.--if have cold, will not drink milk or eat cheese.
Cranberry pills--feel a UTI coming on.
Glucosamine Chondroiton--time to start to prevent damage to knees
Vitamin E--use this for several reasons including for skin
several multivitamins
Chromium--blood sugar stabilizer, and support to build strong muscles.
Fish, Flax, and Borage oil--keep but can't take
Vitamin C- Ester-C, big one for me.
and some others...
I also take a colon cleanser and body detoxifier periodically. I have all these supplements--and I hate pills! lol.
Well, I do love the Viactiv or off brand Walmart ones--but I already bought a calcium supplement. I like the chewy ones, cause it's not a pill...and I love to drink my vitamins instead. I have not figured a way to consistently take my omega's the -fishy oil makes me gag.

ok, I know it's the weekend...but I'm still going to check in...
today, very little activity--a little shopping, a little cleaning
I ate 2 waffles with butter and syrup today, with my 2 cups of coffee
I had two small white castle burgers for lunch--before I went grocery shopping
had a few sections of orange for snack today, and a few twizzlers
after that I didn't eat until 9 o'clock, and by then I was hungry.
I had a hot dog with light chili, and saurkraut, and no other condiments, 50 calories of popcorn
about 2 hours later, I had a nutty buddy ice cream bar
and 2 small slices of my son's mini pizza.
I was more hungry today! However, I never stuffed myself,
and I felt like I followed the goals.
I am soooo tired though...and I am going to bed...
goodnight.

I had a bad day, was sad/ depressed when I woke up--facing some tough issues.
and my SO and I talked about me not having another baby again... I just don't see that being something I can deal with...I just want to cry. I love him so much....but I know I want at least one more child, even if I am in my 30s when I have another one...
well, I am going to post my diet, but I did horrible...I am going to try to kick my blues by doing my butt and thigh firmers...
on a positive note, AF is being really nice to me. she is so light, and I have no cramps??? I usually have killer cramps and real heavy bleeding.
well, I am a chocoholic..so this will reflect that:
for breakfast, had a cinnamon raisin bagel topped with cream cheese, and 2 cups coffee.
I admit I got real hungry when I skipped lunch and only ate a bannana...
then I had these chocolate hazel nut creme wafers 2 of them- 140 calories, and a glass of milk-120 calories.
then I went over my friend's house to fix his computer...I was getting starving--yes ravenous
the kiddos were digging in the Easter candy, and were all too happy to share the wealth. I think I ate 20 jelly beans, and 10 malted milk balls, before I realized I was getting sick to my belly..was like "why am I so hungry?"--think this totalled 150 calories
oh yeah, skipped lunch.
so ate 2 of those little white castle burgers. they are 320 calories for 2 of them. better after that.
then about 2 hours later, at 7pm was hungry...and men are just now getting dinner started--they won't be finished to 11 pm...grilling out. I don't much like boston butt, so I wanted to eat chicken, was going to go home and fix me some chicken tenderloin with green beans, but my friend talked me into eating some chicken drummettes and wings.
so I had a few of them totalling 360 calories. no veggies or anything..
after that I had 1/4 cup sprite, and 2 chocolate hazelnut wafers for dessert.
well, usually since I don't want to hurt my friend's feelings even if the guys get the food cooked around 12 am...I usually try to eat something they cooked, but I'm honestly very satiated, and don't want to eat anything else today...
plus I'm tired and moody. Sad my spring break is coming to an end..
I am going to try to do my butt firmers, hope it lifts my mood.

breath, breath , pant, pant,
ok, did those exercises...and I am so winded...I feel like a big fat puffy blob...oh well,
I DID IT!!! I did 2 sets of clock work, lunge/squat combo, 1 set of one-legged lunges, and 1 set of monster squats...I also did the cardio burst--leg shuffle in between for 1 min...
so I can now crawl into bed, satiated on chocolate, and utterly exhausted.
edit***
I did eat some chicken--I didn't know they were cooking chicken--Frank, my friend, said he knew I didn't want Boston Butt, so he cooked chicken.... and very little corn and beans, and noodles...I love chicken.
