I was wrong. I'm not down 20lbs. This morning the scale was up 2lbs, so I'm only down 18lbs.
I started to cry but had to stop after the crying made my belly bounce and jiggle and flop all over.
I am sad today. I wish I could work out. I wish I could just wear my regular pants. (I wish I could just DO UP my regular pants, that is. I have muffin top that actually touches my belt buckle. Ew, ew, ew.)
i know right now it seems like it is so far away. but honestly most people take 9 months to put it on and it takes 9 months to take it off. 18- 20lbs is a great start, and i wouldnt fret about 2lbs. it the grand scheme of things, noone is looking at you going " ya know, she looked 2lbs lighter yesterday...whats up with that?" lol
It took me a 10-11 months to lose the 22lbs i gained from being pregnant with Charlie. I initially lost about 12 lbs right after he was born, then i gained 10 back from being starving from breastfeeding, and so when he was about 2 months old i had to lose 20lbs all over again. but it did happen. i was a a good diet, i exercised and i got down to about 10lbs above my prepreggo weight. The last of it came off in the summer when i was super busy running around with 2 kids!
you will be fine mama, you are only 4 weeks post partum. Dont be so hard on yourself.
Jilly you seem to have unhealthy expectations about weight. I hate to see you so stressed out when you barely just had a baby. Its just not healthy. You seem to have this mindset that it will NEVER happen. You will lose the weight when you are healthy enough to exercise!
Thanks, ladies. I did get down to 149 (yay!) and since then my weight's been kind of bopping around between a couple pounds. I'm feeling a little better about it all and the compression garment I've been wearing on my baby belly really seems to help.
Apparently I'm still a little emotional & hormonal, lol.
