Super easy side dish casserole, and super yummy!
Snap fresh green beans, or use 1 package (1 lb.) of frozen, but thawed green beans.
In a large bowl, mix:
one can of mushroom soup
8 oz. sour cream
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 -1 tsp pepper
dash sage and/or any other seasonings you like to use, optional
Add the green beans, and gently coat all beans by stirring.
Pour into 9x13 baking dish. Top with cheddar cheese. In a bowl, crunch one package of saltine crackers (not a whole box, but one sleeve of crackers or 1/4 of a box) and pour 2 TBSP of melted butter over them. Stir. Put over cheese.
Bake at 350 for 1 hour, COVERED for the first 45-50 minutes. The last few minutes are uncovered so that the topping gets crunchy.
It's way yummier than the traditional green bean casserole.
