This is SO easy ... I never thought rice could actually get *easier* lol! This is very easy to adjust, just use a ratio of 2:1 water:rice, and then just dot with butter if you want to use it (I never measure it out). You can sprinkle with parsley or other seasonings if you'd like, too.
BUTTERED RICE
2 cups water
1 cup rice
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
Salt, to taste (optional)
Pour water into a casserole dish, then add rice. Salt to taste; slice butter or margarine on top. Cover. Bake at 300 degrees F until water is absorbed and rice is done, about 1 hour.
