1 large head of iceberg lettuce, chopped into bite sized pieces
salt and pepper to taste
1 pkg. (16 oz.) frozen green peas, thawed
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
2 hard boiled eggs, sliced
1 cup Mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. dried dillweed
2 tbsp. sugar
8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
6 slices bacon, crisp cooked, drained and crumbled...or I just use packaged bacon pieces
Place lettuce in a salad bowl. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Layer vegetables, then eggs on top of lettuce.
In a small bowl combine the Mayonnaise and dillweed. Spread dressing over top of salad, sealing to edge of bowl. Sprinkle sugar on the mayonnaise. Sprinkle with cheese and bacon. Cover and chill for 2 to 24 hours.
