we just got back from emersons and suriahs dr appts. suriah is doing good! gaining weight like a fatty. haha. she was 7lbs 6oz at birth and now is 8lbs 12oz! thats at the 43%, her height is 22.25in, which is 85% (she's tall!) and her head is 14in, which is 32%. so she is tall and kinda skinny with a little head. haha. funny, cuz emerson is short and skinny with a giant head! haha...

anyway, her intestines are still working to repair themselves from her severe allergy. the doctor said i am doing well with having cut all the dairy, soy, nuts and seafood out since her poops are looking better and she isnt pooping blood anymore...but she is still pooping mucus, which i guess means that the intestines are working to rebuild the lining in them...so i guess its progress. the dr said it could take 6-8 weeks for the intestines to heal and then we can begin to talk about possibly trying to add some things into my diet to see if she is growing out of the allergy.

so...pretty good visit. suriah was good and didnt cry and so far, suriah hasnt lost her hair...still a full head of hair.

emerson screamed the whole time...they said they would miss her when we move because no other kids react quite as awful towards them as she does...and she has never had any vaccines or anything so she really doesnt have a reason to be scared! haha. but emerson is doing well...dr said she is doing great with talking and is pretty ahead of the game as far as words and sounds go. her ht is 30in, (33%), her weight is 20lbs 12oz (16%) and her head is 19" (94%)....so yeah, she is a bobble head doll! the dr said that emerson has a head like her dad, and suriahs has my head. haha. funny cuz brad was there and he is always saying that i have a big head not him! but yeah..emerson has his big melon and suriah has my melon.

so yeah...thats the update on both of them.

The vaccine isn't on the schedule until 11-12yrs but is approved for use at age 2yrs. Our second son received the vaccine in December 2010 when he was 2yrs old. My son & thousands of other children prove that a vaccine is needed at a younger age.

Sounds like it went well! That is so funny about Emerson screaming at them, haha!! It is great to hear Suriah isn't pooping blood and it looks to be repairing itself. How are you doing with the strict diet? What are you eating?

I am so shocked at how big she is! I can tell she has gained weight too. And she doesn't even seem to nurse as much as some babies.

Emerson was probably just ready for a nap at her appt anyway, she played her heart out at the gym!

i guess i am doing okay with the diet. heh. i mean, i eat food. i probably dont eat the healthiest food now tho. my "go to" foods have been pasta, french fries and chicken fingers. ginni asked me the other day when the last time was that i ate a veggie....and i couldnt remember except to say that i ate sweet potato french fries recently. hehe. i gave up on cereal since it tastes like crap with rice milk. i do eat oatmeal for breakfast, when i actaully get to eat breakfast. i have replaced drinking milk with drinking lots of pepsi. hah. for breakfast today i ate a banana and had some flat pepsi left over from last night.

so yeah...the diet is going REALLY well. haha. i suck. i am bad enough about cooking food and stuff when i can eat whatever i want....so now that i am so restricted i am struggling even more. food will be the best thing about moving back home....emerson can eat what my mom cooks and i can eat parts of what my mom makes too (she makes chicken, mashed potatoes and corn or steak, mashed potatoes and corn pretty much every night. haha...no wonder i cant cook!)

kim...emerson was TOTALLY ready for a nap. but i cant really blame the screaming on that...she screams at every appt. haha. however, she is napping now and i hope she naps for hours!

and yeah..i was looking at suriah yesterday and thinking that she got so big! she is growing out of the newborn clothes already...and emerson wore them for months! i am hoping that i dont have to break out the 3 month clothes before i move....i just organized everything in december and had brad put it all in the attic. i really dont want to deal with going through that bin and sorting out clothes before i move! haha. i just cant believe how quickly she is growing... and she is smiling now too! i have a pic of her smiling...i need to upload it though but i will try to post it later. its kind of a scary pic of her...she isnt nearly as photogenic as emerson! haha...
