3-4 LBS. shrimp (peeled & deveined)
3 bags picsweet frozen seasoning blend
1 chopped bell pepper
1 TBSP. minced garlic
2-3 stalks chopped celery
1 hot pepper & 2 shakes of juice
1 1/2 cups of roux (approximately)
5 green onions chopped
Mix 2 cups of flour & 1 cup of oil in a black skillet until the color of dark chocolate
In dutch oven filled almost 2/3 of the way full with water (boiling) add 3 bags of seasoning blend, garlic, bell pepper, celery, hot pepper, salt, pepper, Tony's. Boil for 20 minutes.
Add Roux & boil for another 45 minutes with lid on.
Add shrimp and cook covered for 20 more minutes.
Add chopped green onions.
Taste & add more seasoning as needed. Cook covered for a final 15 minutes.
Serve over rice.
