Jack has been waking up at night and not wanting to go back to sleep. We have tried everything, but each time she wakes up it's like she wants to party. I've tried nursing her back to sleep, laying her down in her own bed, putting her in bed with us... she just won't go back to sleep easily. And when she does she is right back up again 30 minutes to two hours later.

This has been going on for nearly two weeks and each night it just seems worse. I'm all for night parenting, but I'm exhausted, Shane's exhausted. Jack's even exhausted.

Help!

It is a phase. So my health visitor tells me. When your a baby whos almost 1 why on earth would you want to sleep when there is sooooooo much more fun things to do. She says thats what they muct think to themselves.
Christian has been doing it the last 12 weeks. Last fr,sat, sun he slept through and last night he did too so heres hoping this phase is passing!!

Hope yours is too, it's exhausting

12 weeks! Oh dear. I don't think I can last THAT long. Bravo to you, Lisa!

It's most likely a phase if she hasn't done it much before. Anna has done it on/off since about 2 months old and will go through periods that she stays awake like that for several weeks. Now she just does it once in a while, but I keep the co-sleeper set up in our room as a playard, so I can put her in there if she wakes up and wont' go back to sleep. She is content that she's close, but she can play until she gets tired again and we can continue snoozing, knowing she's safe.

Probably a phase, Penni went through something similar but it didn't last as long. She still wakes up a ton at night, some nights every 30 mins or an hour, just past week she started sleeping longer stretches at night (hope I didn't just jinx that lol) anyways I hope you all get some rest soon

I have been having similar problems. Once Gabe wakes up and wont settle back in the crib I bring him to bed. But every 20 minutes he is trying to sleepily crawl away! My bed is on the floor and sometimes he crawls away and starts playing with his piano!!
