3/4 c shortening
3/4 c sugar
1 t vanilla
3 slightly beaten eggs
1 reg box dry jello
3/4 t salt
1 t baking powder
2 3/4 c flour
Cream together shortening and sugar. Add vanilla and eggs, mix well. Add remaining ingredients and mix.
Form dough into balls the size of walnuts. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet & flatten with a glass dipped in sugar(cut class works well and makes them "pretty") or with your hand. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes until edges just start to brown and they look set.
Most flavors work really well for this, but raspberry, lime, and strawberry seem to lend themselves really well to these. Raspberry's our favorite!
