1 box yellow cake mix Bake as directed on the box.

2-3 boxes of cooked style vanilla pudding. Not the instant kind. Prepare like package says.

1 pound of fresh strawberries
2 large or 3 small banana's
9 oz. of cool whip
3/4 cup crushed pecans

Cut cake in small bite size peices. Place 1/3 in bottom of punch bowl. Spread the pudding on top of cake. Then top with some whip cream Then next 1/3 cake then the strawberries and crushed pecans. Then top with more cool whip Then last 1/3 of cake top with some cream then bananaa's then top with dolops of the last of the cream. What I did with this recipe instead of how it was given to me. I did layers of all the ingredients. First cake, then some pudding some of both fruits then some of the pecans. Kept doing this till all the ingredients were layered. With whip cream on the top in dolops to look nice. You could also sprinkle a little pecans on top like a garnish.
