Pear Bread
1/2 C. Butter
1 C. Sugar
2 Eggs
2 C. Flour
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/8 tsp. Nutmeg
1/4 C. Plain Yogurt
1 C. coarsely chopped, cored pears
1 tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 350*. Butter a 9.5"x3" loaf pan.
Cream butter and gradually beat in the sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Combine dry ingredients; add to egg mixture alternating with yogurt. Stir in pears and vanilla. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for one hour.
