So today
DH and I did some grocery shopping at Walmart and we brought Alexandra with us. So first thing we did when we got there was go straight to the baby department so we could scope out toys and get her a toy to keep her entertained in the cart. We (and she) fell in love with this toy

And she hung on to that toy the rest of the almost 2 hour long shopping trip... when it came time to checkout, that was the last item we had to ring up (since she was still playing with it) so she screamed when we had to take it away from her for the cashier to ring up. So the cashier rings it up and tells us that she can't let us buy it.

We had a screaming baby and she tells us that she has no idea why but it was an "unsellable" item. So we said fine (
DH and I just wanted to get out of there ASAP since Alexandra was just flipping out) and paid and left the store.
So we went down the road to Toys R Us to look for that same toy and we did find it... but we had a huge argument over whether to buy it or not (
DH was afraid it had been recalled or something and I thought it was just Walmart being gay and forgetting to put a price on it or something) so he refused to buy it for her even though we knew she liked that toy a LOT. So we ended up getting a different toy.... but I'm still STEAMING over this.

UGH. I know it's just a toy but still... I felt like we broke her poor little heart today.
