I went on Wednesday for MY procedure to be done... showed up, already did the pre-registering "AND" the pre-op, all was set. Paperwork in hand, lots of it. I went in, and the girl at the desk had no record of me to be there. So I thought "okay, must be a simple mistake, calls will be made, faxes will be done & all will be fine"... after 45 minutes of back & forth, and me sitting there w/ steam coming out of my ears & at the same time STARVING since I hadn't had anything to eat. The doctor, my neurologist, who likes to be called "JORDAN"...yeah..."JORDAN"... forgot to submit the proper documents to my health insurance & b/c of this it wasn't approved & as a result they couldn't do it b/c w/ out the claim #'s to approve the procedure, I'd be stuck w/ a bill, a VERY LARGE bill at that. I was on the phone, trying to figure out a way to back track the dates, sort of make it look different in their PC's, I know it's been done before, they did it for me when I had my son's in the hospital & the doc's (OBGYN) said to me "just don't tell anyone"... and all was fine. I know that if people really want to push things through, they can. Apparently, since JORDAN is so freaking new, and young, or what ever is problem is, and his assistant is so stupid (keep in mind I called her & went over ALL of this stuff several times, b/c I have 3 insurances, yes, I have 3, and it can be complicated & I like to always make sure that people know what they are doing, most people don't know who to bill first, second & third, there are certain protocols). Any ways, nothing was done right & since it wasn't, the primary insurance, which is my DH's, wasn't billed & they weren't willing to let it go.
My procedure has been rescheduled for January 7th. Mine was a no go.
Annoying. At the time, I was furious, but now, annoying. Don't get a gal/mother angry when she is STARVING!!!!
I just found out that JORDAN was putting in my Rx to the WRONG insurance as the prior authorization first, he was suppose to put mine first, then use my husband's second. Dill weed. I found this out today, they said to give it 72 hrs. & to call "JORDAN" & have him do it again under the RIGHT insurance w/ the RIGHT code & then it would go through. Freaking ridiculous. Seriously!
