What do you do when you just have a little case of the blues to pick yourself back up?
-I have a diagnosis of a M.I., so I am on Rx's & seek weekly therapy for myself.
What do you do when you're seriously depressed for a few days or more to get out of the depression?
-I do a lot of reading, I sometimes will sleep more, and I have Rx's to help me if I am more anxious than the norm. I don't usually talk to friends about it, or in general. Unless it comes up. I am not ashamed of my M.I. like I used to be.
How do you keep it from effecting your kids & families?
-I don't keep it from effecting them, they...or I should say "we"...all deal w/ it, it's not a choice, it's an illness for me, it's not like there is a cure for what I have, it's something that I've learned to deal w/ like someone who has diabetes. You just learn to cope. My kids know nothing different. My DH is good about it. It's my family & his family (grandparents & parents) that aren't understanding. I've given up on trying to explain myself & have no desire to try anymore. If someone where to come to me w/ questions, I'd be honest & welcome those questions & answer them as best as I could.
