My DSS calls me by my first name. And my son from my previous relationship calls my husband by his first name as well.

How long have you & your SO been together?

We are nowhere near DS calling him another name lol. Ds calls him by his first name and that's how it's gonna be for a long time(most likely forever) . I was just curious as to what others do.

For us, Lucy called Dh Bryan and her bio dad daddy. Then when we got married she started calling Dh Daddy Bryan (she was 3 and very precosious). Then she progressed to Daddy Bryan & Daddy Sam (bio dad). Mind you she only had 1 hour supervised visits with her bio dad at the time & wasn't close to him before that.

Then it became Daddy (Dh) and Daddy Sam. That's pretty much stayed although she hasn't seen her bio dad in 2 years. Last year thankfully, he gave up his parental rights & Dh adopted her. He's been her real dad since he met her when she was 2 1/2.

When dh's dd's were visiting us, they always called me by my 1st name. They were older when we met & are very close with their bio mom.
