Not sure about where you guys are but I just called my doc's office about the H1N1 shot & they said that the CDC have VERY strict guidelines on who & who cannot get it. Apparently, you have to either be pregnant or have a baby that is 6 months or younger living in your care, or, be a health care provider or work in the health care industry. WTH? This is weird b/c in the beginning they were saying that if you had a child that was in school, or a child that had a bad immune system or had a lot of health problems, they'd give it to you. Now you have to be preggers or have a baby 6 mos. & younger? Grrr....

Do you guys have guidelines? What are they? Just curious.

Interesting. I don't know our guidelines but Lucy's school just sent out something that said they are going to have the vac available at her school...

I think there are, but i haven't informed myself on them and don't care really about their vaccines, their panics and the whole mess they make over people with media each and every time with a different thing.....i mean they play us for fools and they think they can do it, because a sickness and a serious one is enough to terrify anyone.........i am pissed off at them.

They've been showing this same little girl in my state who caught it & now is in a wheelchair w/a breathing tube & needs a lung transplant. That they gave the mother a 72 hr. wait before her daughter would die. Now she wanted to get the word out to the world about how important the vaccine was. Uh...that's great to hear that you want to get the word out but 1) you just scared people to death & 2) the vaccine isn't available to everyone, so what's the point of telling people this story again?

I felt for the little girl. She's adorable, she just turned 13, she's on the machines & has an ICU in her own home for her. Her sister is fine. The mother was all upset. This is why I don't watch the news much.

I completely agree!!!! Too much hype over it all. They are doing HC providers/workers right now... my SIL works for the health region.... she says there's too much hype!
