Sorry I've been MIA this week. Lucy had spring break from school so with 2 young ones at home, I didn't have much time to post. I have check in every day & tried to respond to everyone.
Now the kids are with Dh visiting his mother. She lives 3 1/2 hours away. They left yesterday (Friday) and will be home tomorrow (Sunday).
I didn't go because we have a very old dog that we can't kennel & have no one to stay with her. Plus I wanted to get some things done. I ran a ton of errands yesterday & am spring cleaning the house. I'm still taking a little time for me.... I rented a couple of movies & I've read some of my book. I can't remember the last time I saw a grownup movie!
It's nice to have some alone time but it's weird to not have the kids here. I love it & hate it all at the same time It's so quiet!!!!!
They're having a blast though. When I talked to both of them, they were both excited and happy. I'm glad. They need some alone time with Daddy. They were getting way to attached to me. If we went out to dinner, both of them would have to sit on my side of the booth Poor Dh was feeling really left out. So this is really good for them.
I know what you mean about loving and hating it. My DS used to go spend time with my family out of state during the summer and sometimes during school breaks. I was a single mom at the time. It would be so weird to be at home alone. Nice but just not right at the same time
