We find out today if we get DSS for the time we asked for, for summer access. We asked for one week on, one off. We are getting the very same for my 2.5 year old DSD, so we don't see why it would be an issue for my 9.5 year old DSS to have the same thing.

So here's hoping the judge sees that, and sees that it's in the best interest of DSS to spend half the summer with us

That does sound like it would make more sense. I hope you get a good judge & the visitation/custody is the same across the board. KUP & hang in there!

The judge reserved his judgment and will fax us when he decides. Our lawyer thought that it went well, so now we wait. I hate waiting

Still nothing... our lawyer emailed us last night and said that he was surprised that we hadn't heard anything yet. But he said that she did agree to all that we asked for in July, so if we don't hear anything, then we will just go on that. I'm sure she will buck at it, just to be difficult, but we have your swore affidavit saying that you agree to this. The only issue that there was, and why it had to go to court, was because she wanted DSS to go 3 weeks without seeing us and his sister at the beginning of August. We didn't believe that was right, due to the fact that the MAX we go right now is 5 days without seeing him. And the fact that she's a liar too, doesn't help her case any either.

Oh I HATE that! That happened to me w/ my ex. I was furious that I had to wait for a letter, I felt like it should happen like you see on TV, read the darn verdict, draw out the conclusions please! Ugh... sorry you have to wait. It took my judge about a month to come back w/ her verdict. So annoying.

KUP, hang in there.

We got our decision. We don't have him for 3 weeks out of August... there are no words for our disappointment. This is going to be hard both on us, and DSS....

I'm sorry Tiffany. Did they give a reason for that decision or just nothing?

That her and her "spouse" (which is a lie, they aren't married yet), are going on a camping trip in the mountains, which is another lie... she's due at the end of July, beginning of August, which she then claimed that she is due at the end of August, so either way, you aren't about to take an infant or a woman that is due to "pop" at anytime on a 13 hour drive to the mountains.

She's a lying pile of crap and I hate it. It was a rough weekend.... to say the least, she has him so completely brainwashed it makes me want to puke

Obviously the courts aren't interested in proof or doing the math b/c if she claims to be remarried/married, then I would ask for that proof, she has to check things off on forms for the court as "married" or "divorced" or "single"... I guess no judge has ever asked me for my marital certificate so I suppose if that is the case, they can do that? I don't know. I know that her being pregnant, in the courts, until the child is born, they don't view the unborn child as an issue for anything b/c in the event (and God Forbid) that something happen to this unborn child, they can't judge based on the unknown. So her telling the judge they have a trip, I guess again, that would be something she can say. Some people would say "okay, you have a trip on ____ days, then the child will spend ____ days w/ the father" trying to find a different time for the child to be w/ the father. Some judges (not all) will ask for proof of the trip, but again, anything can happen w/ trips & they can't base it on "maybe they might not go"... I'm just looking at "why" or "what" happened. Not that I agree w/ any of it, I don't. I just wanted to see what they were doing & why.

I know this is hard for you & your DF, I know what it's like to get your hopes up to do something only to be let down at the last minute. It's happened to my DH & his DS w/ his ex-wife, which is not right & I can't tell you how many times I've screamed, cried & complained about her & how bitter she is, and ask "why do you put up w/ this?" but...in the end, it's not my battle to fight. As much as I know I could do so much better, I can't do it.

For what it's worth, I know what you're going through. I'm sorry you have to deal w/ this in the judicial system. It's too bad, really.
