The 9 year old. I swear he does just the opposite of what I say all the time, just because he wants to. If I tell him no rough housing, he starts wrestling with Daniel and if I ask him why he's rough housing, he says he's not, he's just wrestling. In fact, one time I told him not to double dip his chip and when I caught him doing it, he said he didn't "double dip" it, he dipped it 4 times. I swear, I think he does it on purpose to exhaust me.

My 8 year old is the EXACT same way.....makes me wanna pull my hair out. Needless to say, he normally spends some time in his bedroom every day for getting mouthy.

happens with us... I have a 12 yr old sd... she ignores most everything I ask of her... she was with us all this past weekend and left her food at the kitchen table after every single meal... 7 times (yes I was counting, I have a rule she must clear her dishes after she eats)... I'm still fuming about it.

why do they do this?? is it just normal?
