Liz, it was the anniversary of her dad's death in 2010.

Thanks Ladies, and Liz it's ok I'm actually sitting here crying off an on because another family member is dying and I cannot leave the USA to attend her funeral.

This makes a death in March 2010, March 2011 and March 2012 (if she passes, they've given her a week)

(Liz you prolly know this stuff, but I'll just say it for everyone else) Due to my overstay, if I leave, I can be barred from reentering the USA. I'm not sure where my papers are on it so I can't remember how long they can keep me out (my overstay was less than 180 days I think after 180 days it's 3 years), but we'd lose immigration progress and would have to file again (including paying again for our lawyer). I can "try" for an advance parole document, but if I got a cranky border officer, they could turn me away.

But thanks ladies. this made me smile and made my heart hurt a little less.
