wahoo: Now, that weight has been lifted and things are going to be just fine.

I'm glad that things are well with you!

Whine: It is *so* hard to get back into meal planning after having almost a week of zero cooking or planning.

Wahoo: I am feeling so much better today.

So happy for you Liz!

I'm glad you're feeling better, Kayla!

Whine: Tomorrow Will will turn 13. After 8 months of not being the parent of a teenager, we will have a teenager in the house again and will have at least one in the house for the next 17+ years!

Woohoo: Will turns 13 tomorrow and we're celebrating tonight with dinner out, so I don't have to cook!

Whine: My mouth really really hurts from surgery last week! I can only eat potatoes

Wohoo: Umm I will have to get back to you, I am pretty miserable.

Whines: I feel awful, the antibiotics I'm on to keep me from getting an infection in my bladder (I had another stone, and it did some damage in there) is kicking my butt.

Wahoo: um... I'm waiting on my SSN to arrive in the mail and as soon as it does I can "try" and open a bank account. Not sure how that will work since I don't work.. but I can put a good chunk of money into it. Will be nice to not have to order everything in DH's name now!

You don't need to prove employment to open a bank account. Congrats on getting the SSN! Are you becoming a permanent alien or actually trying to become a citizen? Just curious. My SIL immigrated from NZ after she met my brother. She came here on a visitor's visa and worked (illegally) as a nanny for a year, met Philip and then had to go home. She came back on a visitor's visa and then got the school system to sponsor her (she's a teacher). Then she married my brother and got her permanent residency. I don't think she wanted or tried to become a citizen. I'm not sure how the whole process works since I was only an observer. I only know it cost them a fortune!

I become a permanent resident first, I can apply for actual citizenship later. But I'm not required to ever actually become a citizen if I don't want to, just less paperwork in the long run. I haven't decided when I'll take the test, I just know I eventually will because I don't want to reapply for green cards for the rest of my life.

I could become a permanent resident on April 24th, cross your fingers we get approved at our interview, I'd rather not sit and wonder afterwards! I'm in the process of compiling an over abundance of information to show we're a real couple... especially since we had to cancel our big wedding cause my lawyer is a bloody idiot... (if it wasn't for Kayla I'd not have even known I could go apply for an SSN).
