I had my first birthchild at 19 after already becoming a stepmother to 3 children half my age. Now when I go to college graduations and preschool round up all in one week I go from being the youngest mommy/grandma to the oldest mommy. Mind you I'm only 33 does anyone else experience this and how to you answer those always awkward questions and looks from good intentioned strangers?

Well sort of. My oldest kids are 23 and almost 21. My oldest is married with a child of her own. I was always the youngest mom in their group of friends (still am) since I had them when I was 16 and 19. Then I got divorced and later had my younger two who are 6 and 9 months. In fact, my granddaughter and youngest soon could very well end up in the same class since she was born in December and he was born the following July.

It is definitely interesting!

When I have both babies out together, which happens a lot, I get lots of looks and when I explain who everyone is, I get "well aren't you brave!" And I generally respond with, "no, just crazy!"

Not exactly. I do have 5 stepchildren (from my dh's former marriage) and I'm only old enough to have birthed 3 of them (and the third would be pushing it). It's kind of funny when all of us are out in public and dh and I do see people trying to do the math.

No I don't have that situation. I'm on "old" mom but I was blessed with good genes. So most people think I'm 10 years younger than I am. So I don't get any comments.
