Mind you, he got heat exaustion today so he's been puking the last 6 hours straight.
I tell him his phone went off and he checks it and hands it to me. It's O's mom.
"Hey there. If O is still up, do you think maybe he can give me a call?"
Bleep Bleep
"I'm sorry if this text is a bit late, but he told me he gets to stay up late on summer nights and I'm really missing him right now."
Well, he was actually already passed out on the couch with his 3 cousins, (That's how Eric got heat exaustion. 4 kids at an indoor trampoline park for 2 hours will do that to a 32 year old!)
But still. Our CO says no calls after 9pm.
I'm a little worried about what's fueling her "I'm really missing him right now," is about. Since we just let her have him on Wednesday night so she saw him YESTERDAY. Hopefully just a mothers love. But with her ya never know.

That was my thought. WHY so late? I get missing your kid. We do it. But then we go to bed and call him in the morning. many times at 11 or 12 I've said I wonder what O is doing and Eric usually says "He is probably sleeping" Its sad she couldnt put that together

Hopefully she just didn't realize how late it was & didn't look at the time.
I doubt it. She said "Sorry if this text is a bit late but O said he gets to stay up pretty late on summer nights." We had him call her this morning and their conversation lasted 45 seconds

that would bother me. I really hope she was just missing him and not drinking! I know I used to text people I loved more when drinking!

At first I was thinking eh it's normal, but when Kris brought up the drinking (which I forgot about) it did make me think other wise. Hopefully she wasn't' drinking it was just poor thinking on her part.

It's natural for you to worry given her past. Best to be quietly vigilant for O's sake.
Does she still have to be tested? I thought there was a time she had to go in & be tested periodically. Is that over now?

Her testing period is over, and she's back in her condo. She's cleaning it she says. But shes really packing because its going up for auction on august 13th. She doesnt know we know this, I looked it up on public record. So shes got a lot of stress in her life right now. And to top it off, she just updated her FB profile picture to this
She hasnt been brunette in years, so this picture may be old. But Eric says it looks new. I just... I dont know what to think of all this. She's a 34 year old nursing student. This picture just screams high school to me. Idk. Maybe Im just mad cuz shes pretty, lol

I'm not familiar with your story, but that'd raise a red flag for me...
In a nutshell, she went through an 8 month period of alcoholism, neglecting O several times to where the court removed him from her custody and gave him to my FI, now we share joint custody

I'm going to hope the best, and that she was just emotional and lonely and not thinking...maybe she was PMSing? I can get all emotional and clingy when I PMS. Though I don't call children at 11pm, but I'm rather sane and think my actions through.
