Okay, try to follow.

A month ago, Eric's bosses boss was laid off. His name is Bill. He was replaced with Allen. Eric got along really well with Bill, and Eric's boss Will. he was super bummed when Bill left.

Today, we find out Will is leaving in a week. He got a new job. We've been preparing for this as we sort of knew. (I used to work with his wife and we're friends on FB and she's been hinting.)

I get home for my lunch break and his phone rings. It's Will, (Erics boss, who is leaving.)

Turns out when Allen asked Will who should replace him, they both first came up with Eric.

So yeah. Eric may go from a team lead (overseeing a team of 5,) to being in charge of all resets for all Home Depots in Arizona and half of New Mexico.

This would also mean he would no longer work 6pm-4am. He would work practically around the clock, BUT he'd be working FROM HOME!

Company cell phone, company laptop, company credit cards, lots of travel perks.

Ladies, this would help our family out in SO many ways. More money for the wedding. More time as a family. more everything.

If we could get some super awesome vibes that this all works out, I'd really appreciate it

Bossman (Allen) called and said he's flying in on Monday to interview him.

He's actually very productive when at home. I don't get to see him during the week with our current set up. But sometimes, he does more housework than I do. He's one of the good ones, lol. (For now at least!)

It's gonna be a long weekend, I cannot wait until Monday!

Update!

So I worked with hi bosses wife at American Express.

We chatted on the phone today. She told me that the big boss was given two names. Eric and some other guy. Apparently big boss didnt even bother scheduling an interview with the other guy! Things are looking VERY good for us!

So all day today he's been counting down.

"Hey babe. In 23 1/2 hours I'll be sitting down with Allen." etc etc

It's super cute. I'll def update tomorrow.

In other news, I find out tomorrow if I got a job I applied for and interviewed for last week. AND our save the dates arrive tomorrow. Big day for us.

Update:

instead of promoting him, they decided to just sever their contract with home depot. So I said, so youre out of a job?! Now what?


And he said, Now I wait for my offer letter from the company that the VP of this company started. His old bosses boss, who got laid off 2 months ago, is his new direct boss.

Salary, company tablet, better benefits, better pay, etc. We're stoked!

Apparently, the guy interviewing Eric didnt know the company was pulling out of home depots, so when he kept trying to get eric the promotion, he was strung along all week until finally they said theyre no longer working in home depots as of august 4th.

But we are super happy about this outcome!
