We got back yesterday afternoon. The trip went SO well - we were really nervous about the fact that a) it was technically a 'destination wedding' in that we had to bring all of our things 1000 miles to the ceremony and reception site, b) we were traveling with children and c) we were traveling with children under 6 who have never gone further than 2 states over before.

Our families were so supportive and helpful and I really don't think we could have done it without them. We had a fun week leading up to the wedding and the day of went so smoothly and wonderfully we still can't believe it. Everything went as planned and the hotel's event staff were absolutely amazing. We still keep looking at each other and saying, "I can't believe we pulled this off."

We don't have our professional photos yet, but here are a couple gems from some of the family in attendance.

Thanks so much, ladies!

Katie, we have a honeymoon/first anniversary trip (official anniversary) planned for September that I would prefer not to be pregnant for - partially because it's all-inclusive and I would like to take full advantage of that, and partially because I have no idea what kind of pregnancies I'll have and don't want to risk being a nauseous mess the entire time. After that... well, we will probably be a lot more lax with the condom usage during my fertile window.

beautiful! Don't you just LOVE asymmetrical waistlines?! they are SO flattering!

The light blue is also very pretty. Super classy! You look so happy! What are you holding in the first pic? It totally looks like limes! (Though Im sure its not!)

Anywho, congratulations!

Thanks! I actually went in looking for a ball gown and then realized while trying that they all made my torso look about 6 inches long. I don't think you can tell in this picture (and I also have 4 in heels on in this picture) but I'm only 5'2 and a half/5'3". I have a moderate amount of chest-age and some hips going on. Making me look shorter is NOT a good thing. The associate brought in ^ that dress on a whim and I fell in love.

And those are actually boutonneires. This was pre-ceremony and dh and I were passing out flowers.

Yeah my dress is asymmetrical too. However, I am 5'10" so I'm already tall to begin with!

Gotcha! I couldn't figure out what they were but you looked so happy about them! I was like.. pre wedding tequila shots???
