I didn't know what else to put in the title. We have hit a major milestone with Robert and our family. Robert has started to tell me "I love you".
Robert's mom had told him not long after Jonah and I got together that it would hurt her feelings if he told me that he loved me. I know, that is the wrong thing to tell a child. I have always told the kids when they leave its "bye, love you", Same thing on the phone. At night its "Good night, love you" I say it to him, just like Sean and Dani, just because you never know.
I put him on the bus Wed, Thurs and Fri because Jonah had to work and when I said Love you on Thurs, he said it back. Again of Fri. He is saying it now at night too.
I am so happy that he feels he can say this to me now and not worry about his mom. I know I am not his bio mom, but I love him and all his quirks and problems. He is after all one of my kids even if I didn't birth him.
