You don't need to see his pay stubs. It's in your paperwork. He was ordered by the judge to pay X amount.

Isn't Ryan the father of one of your other boys too?

That must be a new thing for Illinois because dh writes a check each month. I'm so glad we don't have to use an agency.

Katie -- No, Ryan is only the father of Evan.

Michael is the father of my other two and he is currently serving a 13 year prison bid for aggravated abuse of a pregnant person (me). He gets out in Nov 2014. I have never got any child support from him and never will get any.

I never got any paperwork from our court date? All I got was a copy of the order for my records. His paystubs weren't in there. All it said was $100/weekly to start on 07.30.2012 and that was it.

I'm so sorry for all of the craziness you ladies have to deal with regarding support agencies.
In Maryland you used to be able to pay directly and only get CSE involved if someone was in default. They have since made it mandatory to pay through CSE, which is dumb because both parties are charged a fee.

Also in Maryland they take the parents' combined yearly income, divide that by 12 to see what the monthly support amount would be, then multiply by 12 to get the yearly child support. Then they find out how the paying party gets paid (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, twice-monthly, etc.) and then they take the total year amount of CS and divide that by the number of pay periods the paying party gets per year. And then that is listed in the order.

My original court order said I get $494 per month, but when it shook down I got $228 per (my ex's) pay period. He was confused till he realized that some months I'd get $684, but most months I only got $456. In the end, I got $5,928 a year.

Sean's dad has always gone through CSE. He has never wanted anything to do with him. I always get his deposited directly in my bank account. I have never gotten a check from his dad. Dani's dad started paying me direct, and then started wanting to play games, and since I already had a CSE case, I just turned it over to them as well and now both are paycheck deducted.

Jonah, on the otherhand, we give Shamu a check every month. His has never been through CSE.

It is more or less a choice of if you are getting hassled or not paid by the NCP. My sister works for CSE, and even though she can't handle my case, I still have an inside track.

That sounds like a huge pain! Here, after calculations, it's just x amount per month. Dh pays it in two chunks, always has because it's too large of an amount to do from one paycheck, but the agreement just has a monthly amount.

L's going in next week to talk to them about waiving her right to mandated support on the basis that their system is failing Reme. The clerk made the oopsie to her last week that even if she waives the right to mandated support (via CSEA) DH is still responsible for it via the CS order unless they modify it. She knows it's a risk on her part, and one that she wouldn't make with any man other than DH because he'd give her the moon if Reme needed it.

They took a full weeks payment from her saying she wasn't entitled to it because it was only a partial worked week on DH's behalf, and instead used it to cover fees on their end. Of course, they took the first payment out of a partial week.. so... wtfudgestick? Like she said to me yesterday she doesn't NEED the money, but Reme is entitled to have it paid (which we all agree about) and they're obviously going to line their pockets with it before she even sees it and that's not fair. Not to mention the $1.75 fee to withdraw it from the bank (plus a bank fee) every week, or a 50cent charge each time she uses it as a debit card and $1 as a credit (for places who don't take debit).

and ftr: soon as DH gets in a few pays, I'll write L a check for the missing payment since she'll never see it from them.

we have no monthly. If woody works 9 weeks, she gets 9 payments. If he works 52, she gets 52. And thankfully he gets paid weekly, so we don't have any jumbling... but initially they'd told us it was 666.something a month (hahaha, evil child support number huh?), but in reality it's more.

(to clarify for those who don't know our story, DH only pays while he is employed based on the court order. There were many reasons for that, but they share 50/50 custody during unemployed times, and the non residental parent at the time would have to pay support, so it'd be a dang headache)

That makes sense, given the way Woody's jobs are. I would assume you could alter the monthly set up if you were in that kind of work here too. I have to admit that I haven't looked into it, though - the IT industry is pretty basic in terms of scheduling.

When BM had the boys DH paid her $125 a month and just gave her checks. Some months he would pay her close to $300 with money she borrowed by advancing her CS. Now she is supposed to pay $50 a month but we rarely see that. We put it through BCSE (child support enforcement) because we knew that she would never pay us if we didn't. It's taken out of her check once they finally catch her working and before she quits. And yes she will quit a job so she gets out of $50 a months for her 2 kids. She has been behind almost $1500 before.

that's all you are entitled to see. the rest stays with the file, but the order is all you get a copy of.

if they are doing an income withholding any overage (percieved or other wise) is not your issue. if he has issues then he needs to call the child support agency on his own and leave you out of it
