On Thursday night, we got a surprise call from Jonah's biological sister (he is adopted, and they found each other a little less than 2 years ago). She and her husband were going to Gatlinburg, TN for the week, they have a condo there. They invited us for the weekend. We packed up the kids and off we went. We had a wonderful time. Go-cart races, Dukes of Hazard museum, Hard Rock Cafe, family time. The 8 of us had a ball. On the way home yesterday we saw an elk in the Smokey Mountain National Forest! The kids were amazed. It was standing on the side of the road just eating grass, without a care in the world. I wish we would have been able to stay longer, but Jonah had to work and the kids had to go to school today.
Also I had to take Sean to the Orthopedic about his back. His x-rays showed some congenital abnormalities as well as some other abnormalities. We are going to a Pediatric Orthopedic Spine Specialist next at the Medical College of Ga.
Now we are starting to get things ready for our cruise. We leave in 18 days for FLA!

Wonderful weekends are so bittersweet! I bet you didnt want it to end!
Thats awesome that his biological sister and him reconnected. That must have been awesome!
good luck with the specialist for Sean! Fingers crossed! I have mild facet sclerosis in my lower back. It causes my back to spasm sometimes, but other than that I've had no severe issues besides missing a few days of work. But I definitely know how painful back pain can be!
