Dani has been back at school for only one week since her foot was burned. That is it. This morning, she woke up with the stomach virus that has been going around. She has a fever and the yucks. I have phenergan and ibuprofen. It looks like she will be out of school at least tomorrow. The attendance counselor will love me! She is at 11 absences as of now. This will not include tomorrow. If you have 10, you make the naughty list, and we have not even made it to the end of the first semester.

Poor Dani! If she has a Dr. note, she shouldn't be negatively affected.

I just talked to her principal and she said that everything is fine as long as we stay in contact with her about Dani. She knew Dani was burned and missed lots of school for that. I am not as worried about her absences now. There is not going to be a meeting with the school social worker, truancy officer and DFCS because my kid is sick.
