BM is back in jail.

We still don't know why but it says pre trial felon. She's been in there for a week we found out the day after because DH has a cousin that checks the incarcerations list daily. We told the kids after we called to see when she would be getting out and they don't know when. They said it wouldn't be until after her court date and that wasn't set yet. The boys were upset but not overly upset like I was afraid they would be. Then on Christmas day BM's mom called and she obviously didn't know until Christmas eve that she was in there. BM's BF didn't even bother to call and tell her. And on top of that we ran into BM's SIL. One that DH still talks to and we get along fine with and she said that BM had failed a drug test shortly after getting out of jail the first time. We are trying to figure out what to do. WE have been advised by a few people to go back to court and suspend her visitation pending her getting her life back together and having a stable enviroment, job and reliable vehicle for a set period so that they boys at least have somewhere stable to go when they see her. But it's possible since she has been arrested again that she will have to finish her sentance that she had which would be 5 years. So the boys would be almost grown before she got out. 15 and 17. I just don't know what she is thinking sometimes. She needs a swift kick in that arse to make her realize what she is doing to these boys!

Wow! That's insane. If she gets out, I think you definitely need to change the visitation to supervised at least. Some people just don't think of their kids.

Oh man those poor boys. I hope you can get the visitation changed if she doesn't serve her 5 years.

Well we have the support from CPS on getting it changed, so I don't htink it would be very hard. I just hate for it to come to that. I know that the boys love their mom but they just don't care anymore about what she does or what happens. K said well at least when she is in jail I know she's not going to overdose on something.

a 10 year old shouldn't have to worry about that from his mom.

I feel like with what you've just shared here that you've seen this coming. While it sucks that she's been building up to this at least you were prepared. I'd definitely get supervised and not feel bad about it because you're not forcing her to do what she's doing, she's making choices. Bad ones.

Yeah we kinda did see it coming. When we learned after she got out of jail that she wasn't on the Methadone anymore we knew it was a matter of time before she went back to her old ways. DH has known this woman for 15 years and she was only clean once she found out that she was pregnant and if you can count it (we dont) when she was on the methadone.
