If anyone else is becoming or has a multi-cultural family, I just bought a book called, "Dim sum, bagels and Grits". It has been highly recommended by a few people! As soon as I'm finished with what i'm reading now, I'm going to get started on it!
Hi Jenni,
The 6 kids from my first marriage are bi-racial (actually, Black, White and Native American mix). They have no problems here in multi-cultural Baltimore
Hello Jenni ... Actually my fiancee is hispanic and his 2 children are mixed (half hispanic half white) As will our baby be .... My son from my previous marriage is caucasion of course ... and to be honest it doesn't occur to us that we are a multi racial family ... except when I go to his moms they hardly speak english lol ....
My DH is multi-racial (he calls it confused) and the mother of his children is black. We have full custody of the kids. I am white and pregnant with my first child. It's not as big of an issue as it was when we started dating 6 and 1/2 years ago. (I think it all depends on where you live!)
my son from my 1st marriage is white (Irish, Greman, Dutch, Native American, Swedish) and the baby in my belly, he is ( Irish, Dutch, Native American, German, Jewish, Black and White) his father is my boyfriend now!
