i didnt realize this was here lol so i figured i would post a bit
well i am on my 2nd marriage i have a dd from the first.she is 6(going on 30) anyways my dh is greek,and he has never been married or have kids anything.my problem is our way of punishment for dd is different he does things soooo differently and little more harsh,but he thinks that bc he was raised that way its ok.he doesn't hit her or anything like that its just the verbal.(no verbal abuse either) he just thinks that his way is the right way.and now she is acting out more to this.what can i do? any suggestions?

I am in a similar situation... except my SO does have kids. My kids settled down however, and got used to the fact that that is how he is with them. They get angry at him for about 5 mins when he disciplines them, but then they are buddies again. They actually have developed a huge amount of respect for him. My kids are older though except my youngest who is 6. the other 2 are 11 and almost 8. Maybe try to find a happy medium with him... I wish i could be of more help to you..
