I just found this board and i guess i'll be the first to post a topic! I'll introduce myself. Im Amanda, 25, and my family is a little green but we would like to be greener. We do all the typical things like cloth diaper, try not to buy a lot of junk or buy used things, buy organic and local as much as possible. We are trying to get into biking and walking more, but we drive a small hatchback and my husband is busy trying to convert our tahoe to run off vegetable oil instead of diesel.

Anyway, look forward to meeting more green mamas! Love hearing new ideas!

Hi Amanda, it's me Crissy, your fellow Canadian living in the US and also trying to be as greens as I can

To introduce myself to all the other green mommies, hello! I have 4 little ones - Jack, 6, Mia Bella, 5. Gus, 4, and Sydney, 18 mos. We cloth diaper, reduce, recycle and reuse as much as we can, we sold out gas guzzling truck for a more fuel economic minivan (too many of us for a hybrid ) We use cloth products over paper around the house (except TP) and green and natural cleaners. We also shop with the cloth bags, glad to find that becoming a popular option. I hope to learn and share more green tips with the environmentally conscious mommies here at JM!

Hello!!

I'm Debbie, SAHM to Miss Megan Lily, 1.5 months old! We live in Chicago, but I'm formerly California, Nevada & Berlin, Germany.
I've always loved the planet & I've done as much as I can to be as green as I can!
We walk & use public transportation as often as we can. We have reusable grocery bags, we cloth diaper. We use natural cleaners around the house & we always use natural light, we rarely use the lights in our house unless we really need to. (the street lights here do an AMAZING job of brighting up the house, its awesome!). We buy locally as much as we can & eat a lot of fresh foods & make our own foods like breads, condiments, growing our own herbs.

We hope to start a compost pile! [:

I can't wait to get to know all the awesome green mommies!

Hi mamas! I see quite a few familar faces here!

But to those I don't know yet...my name is Trinity and I'm married to Arick (35) and have two children: Brendan - just turned five- and Aricka - just two months old. I completed my degree in biology last summer but am currently a SAHM.

We definitely practice green living in our family. We concerve energy as much as possible, use green cleaning products, recycle, eat organic and locally grown foods, cloth diaper, you name it! And we are always looking for new ways to be greener.

I'm excited about chatting with other green mommies and sharing tips and ideas. : )

Hi! My name is Amanda (20) DH is Eric (28) and DD is Rylie (9 1/2 months) We were fortunate enough to get cloth diapers through miracle diapers, should be getting them soon. I really wanted to go cloth but couldn't afford it all at once. I'm really trying to go more green so this board will be a fantastic place to be!
