I've done mine on several calculators and I always seem to get between 23 and 40, which is pretty good but a huge range! I think its actually hard to measure accurately with these type of general calculators. Of course there are so many factors they dont consider, and i find it hard to make good estimates on how much i actually use because sometimes things vary month to month etc. But they are interesting anyway for a general idea!

here's a few to try out for fun!

nature.org carbon calculator
carbonfootprint.com
CarbonConservation

Enjoy!

I used the first calculator and scored 88 out of the average 110 (for a 4 person family) I lost major points for not having energy star appliances.

ETA: When I calculated for me alone I scored a 24 for a family of 4. Which is below the US average. Did you all see that the world average is 5.5 per person. OH MY!! We are so bad in this country.

First Calculator: 35 for a family of 3
Second Calculator: 6.534 tonnes of CO2 for a family of 3
Third Calculator: 25.6 for a family of 3

I think the first one was the most detailed and therefor probably the most accurate. Fun either way!

I only did the first one and got 30 for our family of 6, 4.8 for me individually - below world averages whoohoo! I was even honest about how much we drive. Not being big meat eaters really brought it down.

I can't really do mine. But it would be horrible due to the amount of flying we do alone. But the rest of our lives are pretty good.

I did the first one and I got
"Your estimated greenhouse gas emissions are 37 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent per year, which is below the U.S. national average."

We eat meat so that is what got us. However our meat, we bought a cow that our gpa had butchered and he had raised it. So it has already lasted us 3 months and we have PLENTY more.

I just did this one and it says 15.6 acres and we would need 3.5 planets. Mostly from food and services.
