Hi there Everyone! I'm here quite often - lurking - LOL, But I try to get as much information as I can. Being A Green Mommy is new to me, but I'm trying.
Anyway . . . I recently posted a question on my SAHM board about cleaning my hardwood floors.
The best suggestion I got was a Steam Cleaner, which I agree would be best, if I could afford one. But for now, what do you recommend?
Something that would be Green and Safe for my family, but would get the DUST off the floor and make my floor shiny. The dust is my biggest problem
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi Christina! Welcome!

I have hardwood floors and I got a really wide microfiber floor sweeper from Sam's. It was inexpensive ($15) and came with an extra pad. I use it dry or I have some spray from Lowes that is natural and smells good when I want to make it shiny. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the spray. I'm not home to look it up, but it was "Green" something.

Please stick around and ask more questions. We all start somewhere and learn from each other!

Thanks so much!
It's OK that you can't remember the name - I'm willing to bet I can find it with the info you gave Thanks a lot!
I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and learning as much as I can.

We have hardwoods from the 1930's in our home that we just redid last year. We just use vinager and water and it works great. We have lots of littles crawling on them so that's what I use. They don't really shine, but they are 80 years old with some character! Hope that helps!

LOL - it does!
I think I'd be happy to just keep them clean! They shine is any extra bonus - if I can find something that's Green and safe for my household!
