I'm going to make wet bags!!!
We went to the big city today! (I'm growing very weary of living in what I call podunk.) I went to JoAnn's and I found PUL material for 7.50 a yard. I bought 1/2 yard each of 2 different colors. Then I bought 4 different colors of zippers for 1.99 each. I can get 2 bags from each 1/2 yard so that means each bag will only cost me $4 to make!!! What a savings from what they charge online!!!

Let us know how that goes.

I got mine with my last Bummiz's order and never used it for my cloth diapers (they go in a pail until washing time) and now use it for my mama cloth.

I second that!!

I made one wetbag but it's open, no zipper. I need to make a second one though for when the one is in the wash! But *sigh* our JoAnn's is moving in November to another town and their PUL is long gone. I will miss it, it was maybe 1/2 mile from the house!!! Now the closest one is the new one (where they are moving to), about 20 miles away. But it's kind of pointless to go there, there's nothing else there and another town 1 hr away has 3 fabric stores . . .

Marmee, you're TOO much, LOL

Well, I got both of my crockpots for 6 bucks a piece at the Goodwill (almost brand new) and I don't have a sewing machine, I handstitch since this whole incident I had in Home-Ec class in the 11th grade that I will explain later...Let's just say I developed this fear of sewing machines as a result

ran the needle thru a finger?

My mom did that to her thumb as a child . . . she was kind of daydreaming while sewing and thought about that and then it happened! OUCH! But she still sews But her telling me that sure made me be extra careful
