So I hear a lot of you have snow, right? Well, right now in Christchurch it is 85F!It is SO hot - I hoped that it would be nice enough to day that I could take Emersyn to the beach for the first time - instead it's TOO hot!!!! It'd just be irresponsible of me to take her out in this heat (because she's not used to it).. Haha I could never cope living in Nevada or California!
We're just finishing up a series of unusually cold weather, for this time of year (Highs were in the upper 50's to low 60's... and lows in the 30's). Usually we only have a couple of cold days/nights... and our winter temps average about H:76°/L:68° -- perfect!
Our summers get super HOT though. High's near 100° and lows in the 80's.
Our current temp (at 10pm) is 60°F and our high today was about 72°.
WOW! I've heard of ChristChurch before, but I thought it was cold there! LOL
Living in Mississippi though it's been warm like that before at Christmastime. I hate it though! I like to feel winter and Christmas-y kwim?
It's been going back and forth here the past week -- cold, warm, cold, warm We're use to that though

We ended up having a high of 91.5F/33C.... TODAY is meant to be a lot cooler though - a predicted high of 71.5F.. that's more my sort of temperature LOL.
Christina, it is summer here & our summers are usually between the 70-90 range, usually around 80-90 in January & February... Our winters are generally pretty chilly 23-41F during the coldest part of winter...
Does it snow in NZ? I do not like the cold! I really want to move back to FL!!!

Remember, she said it's hot there in Jan and Feb. I hope they are alright. 80% of the city is without water and power. If you haven't been keeping up, you can go to msnbc.com and watch some of the news videos.

I am venturing to guess you haven't seen snow in your life, unless oyu have traveled, lol.
I actually grew up in an area where we used to get regular snow falls every winter, but where I live now we are lucky if we get one little flurry every couple of years.. I miss it - and i'd love the girls to see snow! hopefully this winter
I live in Christchurch (umm 5? hours from Nelson, going south) & grew up in a little town called Twizel.... which was basically a temporary town for all the people who built the lakes & dams in my area, but it ended up becoming permanent
