So I've been interested in trying out glass straws, I found a number of companies that sell them and kind of just picked one. I'm not aware of ALL the benefits of glass straw usage, just a few that have to do with my personal life. But I do know one of the huge benefits in general, is that it is one less disposable plastic product to go in the trash after a single use!

The company I bought from says that their straws are durable, but they have a lifetime warranty of breakage of any kind! So that is kind of neat!

There are a lot of companies out there, with tons of different designs and types, it's really interesting because I never thought it was that big of a market!! Neat stuff; just don't forget to buy a cleaning brush for them if you don't have one already (I plan to use the cleaning brush for the kids camel-backs that we use on hikes). I also plan to make my own little protective bag for mine, but you can usually buy them on the same site that sells the straws!

Does anyone else use glass straws? Or have you tried them?

Here are a few links, the first one is the one I bought from.

I saw these about a year ago. I am interested in them, however I wonder how easily they break!

I'm curious about that too, but on the site for the ones I bought I think I read durable somewhere. lol But we will see I guess when I get them in.

Neat idea. I would be scared of them breaking too, though.

Here are the straws! They sure look durable, with how thick they are.

I've never heard of them, but what a good idea. I bet Pyrex ones are durable. I'm going to look into this.

The ones I got are from the first link, that says pyrex, so I'm thinking that these are actually pyrex but not 100%. The packaging wasn't specific either. They work great though! I'm going to make some little carrying bags for them so I can take them with while I'm out!
