Do you bring your own "green" bags or do you use paper?

I bring my bags when I remember, I've got a ton of them, or I request paper. We reuse our paper bags for just about everything.

We have "bags for life" which we use. When we do a shop online, the stuff just comes in crates.

I would say I always bring my bags shopping, but twice this week I've gotten to a store of some kind just to discover that they're missing from my purse (I should find a new place for it - one that isn't in toddler reach lol). Though I did remember them for grocery shopping! There was one time last month I rushed out of the house and forgot them for groceries, but I think that's the only time in a good 6 months I haven't had them.

No, we use the bags they give. We reuse them though. I would like to make some bags out of pillowcases though.
The Lesha likes this.

I have a few reusable bags, I try not to get the plastic but if I don't have enough for them all then I get them. I always reuse for them.

We usually take our own bags, if we don't have enough I request paper bags and then we reuse them for art projects.

We bring our own bags, we have a bunch. In the event that i do get bags from the store, i bring them back to walmart and drop them off in the bag recycling bin

I usually bring our own bags and sometimes we get plastic ones - they don't usually offer paper. A lot of places charge 5 cents per plastic bag.

We also reuse our plastic bags as garbage bags and if there are too many we bring them in to be recycled.

I've been using reusable bags (almost exclusively) for years now. My sister got me into the habit when I first moved out in 1997 - way before it was cool.

ETA - I should add that the grocery store I frequent most often credits you .05 a bag for each tote you use and .02 for every plastic so though it isn't a lot of money it helps me remember

You get green clubcard points at Tesco for bringing your own bags over here too, which eventually add up to money to spend instore.
