Yes, but my compost pile is totally over filled and I need to create a second one next to it and turn it. I compost everything that is compost-able, sometimes non-compost-able items end up in there, because of the kids, but we just pull it out when we turn it.

We also add our fire place ash and shredded paper to our compost bin, in addition to almost all kitchen waste.

Yes but our compost bin is currently full and we're waiting for it to compost down.

Green garden waste as well as peelings from fruit and veg.

In the meantime, we have a bin for that from the council so it is still being recycled/disposed of appropriately while we wait for the compost bin to catch up.

No. Not allowed to. Yet another base housing fun! Besides, doesn't do much good when you've lived in 3 different cities around the country the past year.
