I don't currently work, but the last place I worked at was a Montessori based daycare center. They grew a lot of the food that they served for lunch and snacks in their own garden that the kids helped plant and grow, they recycled, and they used a cloth diaper service and babies used the cloth diapers while they were at the center (they usually came in a disposable and went home in one). They also had limited amounts of plastic toys, most were wood.

we have lights on timers, we have a generator during peek times to offset our own consumption. we are certified something or another by the eneergy company for what they've put in (light bulbs and all that stuff)
We have the bulbs, recycling, lights on timers etc. But since we're a technological company, computers run non stop 24/7.
