Michaela is growing at such an alarming rate that I'm starting to think about what to do with her baby clothes!!

What do you guys do with old baby clothes?

I keep special outfits like coming home outfit, first Xmas, etc, in her baby memories box.

But would like to do more with her babygros etc than just putting them in charity bags or car booting them - many don't get bought and end up going mouldy in the garage.

I did wonder how easy it would be to cut squares from some of the nicest ones to make into pillows she can have on her bed. I did learn how to make pillows at high school with a sewing machine, and my mum has one - it's a long time ago though and I'm no seamstress. Anyone have any advice or instructions for me?

Or other ideas?

You could make them into a quilt.

I plan on giving mine one day to local shelters who really really need them. They pretty much always get used, unlike if you give them to goodwill.
The Lesha likes this.

yes to the quilt!

I had been giving Raini's outfits she outgrew to my neighbor who just had a baby girl then a friend of mine came down for the weekend and asked if had her old clothes and I was like no I gave them away and she was like i was gonna make her a quilt. crap. so now im saving raini's outfits least the ones I loved. I did save her coming home outfits so I do have something.

Aside from that you can scrap outfits for headbands or sleepers for baby leg warmers.
