My son's school is really good with it. They have the UK Eco-Schools award and do all sorts of community involvement such as flower planting in common areas, litter picking and Earthkeepers.

They recently did the RSPB Big School Birdwatch and asked for donations of bird food. They also support humanitarian causes, they recently had us filling shoeboxes with toys and household items to be taken to families in war-torn countries.
