I have a 3 1/2 yr old lil boy. His dad took off about 18 months after he was born with our live in babysitter. They now have 2 kids together. Jake doesn't see his dad or half siblings at all. It's hard on me b/c jake is a special needs child. He was diagnosed with developmental delays, speeh delay and they will test him for ADHD in Dec. I work full time and my parents and friend watch him while i'm at work. I also go to college online through SchoolCraft College in Michigan. Anything you wanna know just ask. i'm hoping to find some mommies who have gone through something similar.

hello Nickie...I am Janessa, and i am a single mom to a 3 month old my BD left us 2 days before he was born, saw him the day he was born in the hospital, and he hasn't seen him since. I am trying to decide if i should bother with child support or not.

Im Amber i have one DD she is 2.5. I've been apart of this board since 7.2007. After i left her father. I know quite alot espically when it comes to Child support. Im so sorry that the father is acting this way... How horrible what he did. My ex was emotionally abusive hence why i left him.

I'm Cassie (22) with one son Jackson who turned 2 earlier this month. I left his father when Jackson was about 3 months old...we had been together almost 2.5 years, I left him because he was emotionally and mentally abusive the whole time and I guess having another person to be responsible for gave me the backbone I needed to walk out. He does still see Jackson and pay child support so that is good I guess.

i took BD to court for visitation and custody i got full physical and joint legal but in dec 2009 i can file for abandonment by non custodial parent and get the joint changed to sole. which is what i want and as soon as i get it, i'm changing his middle and last name ( they are daddy's first and last name). he got almost no visitation and an outragous amount of cs ordered. of course he doesn't pay and is over 9 g's in debt to me and 6 g's in grand to his first daughter. yep he has 4 kids with 3 different women not including the baby i lost while pregnant. and even after he had his 18 yr old girlfriend (he was 28) was trying to convince me to go back to him and get pregnant with me i laughed at him. i'm very bitter about the whole situation that went down and maybe one day when i'm really depressed about it i'll tell that story. thank you for accepting me into your board i feel close to some of you already knowing i'm not the only one with a jerk off for a BD

I'm Emma (25) & have one daughter - Gaby (2 in 6 days!). Me & her father were on & off for three years, and then when Gaby was about 7 months old I ended up leaving her father for good.
