Both were planned (: Initially I wanted to do it "the old fashioned way," but their biological father is a good friend of mine and he would rather object to having sex with a girl, LOL. The subject came up when I was first thinking about having kids on my own. He halfway volunteered, and I halfway asked, and somewhere along the line we agreed to it. So IUI it was.

Will I weren't trying but weren't preventing.

We went out of town so I could meet his family, and in preparing for the trip I totally forgot to get more pills. So I told him to get condoms and he went on about how messes stress him out and that it'd be fun thinking of it as our own little Russian Roulette, but at the same time he didn't believe it'd happen. His exact words were "Katie, people have to go off birth control for months before they have a baby. So you missing 1 month of pills won't make it happen." I told him I'd get back on the pill after I got my period in Feb but of course it didn't come... Ryder however, did And I am so soooo glad that he did! He's the greatest thing to ever happen to me!

As for anymore, I'd have to say the memories of Ryder's birth are too fresh in my mind. I still say no. But if I get married and "do things right", I would probably want to give my husband a son or daughter of his own.

Totally unplanned. I figured I'd be 30 before I had my first kid...if I had kids at all. But she's the best thing I never planned.

While I didn't "picture" myself as a single mom, I didn't really picture myself married either. I didn't spend a lot time thinking of myself in a mom role at all, though. But I can't say I was surprised I ended up a single mom. It kind of...works for me.

This was actually my kind of my eventual plan if I wanted kids. My BFF agreed to father my baby so lon as he didn't have go anywhere near my "girl junk" as he calls it. Now he's Jude's godfather and nanny. And still my BFF.

A total surprise! I've been diagnosed with PCOS and was told I'd need help to get pregnant...Daughter's dad and I had been living together and not using anything for over a year and he had stopped w/d a long time before that...nothing ever happened until it did.

Even in all that though, I wouldn't change a thing! I love my little girlie and am so blessed to have her.
